Artist Statement:

 

This was done for a school project when I went back to finish my degree at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I had a photo for a long time, grabbed from a newspaper ad. I had always thought it would be a fun one to paint and when given the opportunity in one of my painting classes, I decided it was time. I’ve always enjoyed painting older faces with lots of expression.
